Reflections: Living in a haunted house – Part 9

What is a haunting? A haunting is when strange things happen in a building and there are cold spots where there could be no draft. The energy is not really cold, it just puts a cold response in the air. The ghost (spirit) will not leave from the building. It is an other worldly presence that makes itself known by various means.

Spirit presence can turn on the electricity, the water, many appliances and generally move things around to confuse the earth inhabitant. They can see and hear the people living in the building around which they are stuck, but they can not be heard or acknowledged. This just adds frustration to their condition. There are many interested mediums that can attune to this energy and help them find their way onward into spirit condition.

Who is haunting? We are all body, mind, spirit. When the physical body dies the spirit is set free. For those that have no knowledge of an afterlife, they remain around the earth haunting their previous places of interest such as their home, business, maybe a local bar, etc. People with addictions (such as alcoholism) draw the spirit of those with the same addictions. Imagine a bar filled with those who wish to continue their habits. The spirit is ’stuck’ by its own fears of going onward into a spirit vibration.

The tunnel and white light referenced in much literature is real. When there is fear to enter into either because of many fearful issues of the individual spirit, they are then stuck around the earth.

Why are they there haunting? When the spirit is stuck around the earth plane existence, they are stuck by their own fears. They have no knowledge of an afterlife and progress in spirituality.

There can be a lot of frustration engendered by someone ignoring you. When they are not heard or seen, they sometimes don’t even realize they are ‘dead’. The spirit has woke up alive.

When religious or spiritual ideas are entrenched, the spirit is seeking some solace in their beliefs, which can actually keep them stuck. There was an idea that all people would wait at their graves until Gabriel blew his horn to call them home. Imagine going into a cemetery on earth where all those spirits with this idea are waiting the call.

GHOSTS subjected to research<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:off ice:office” />

The term ghost’ generically refers to various types of subtle (invisible) bodies such as demons, devils, witches, etc. who have the intention of harming others. The Spiritual Science Research Foundation has undertaken extensive research on ghosts in order to demystify this widespread phenomenon and help people in recognising and treating the adverse effects caused by ghosts through proven methodology according to the Spiritual science.

Ghosts (demons, devils, spirits) though neither visible to the gross eye, nor perceived by the other sense organs, mind and intellect are factors that affect all mankind. The manifestations of distress due to ghosts can be from a person displaying uncharacteristic behaviour to erratic display of violence, addictions, various physical and psychological illnesses, family problems, business problems, etc.

1. Ghost characteristics

Ghosts (demons, devils, spirits) are subtle (invisible) bodies

Ghosts belong to the nether region or one of the seven regions of hell but are found on Earth region too

Ghosts (demons, devils, spirits) do not exist in the positive planes of the universe i.e. heaven

Ghosts (demons, devils, spirits) have unfulfilled desires such as cravings for sex, alcohol (things that they can only experience through a physical body), revenge, etc.

Ghosts (demons, devils, spirits) derive pleasure out of exerting control over and tormenting humans

The general aim of ghosts is spreading unrighteousness and consequent turbulent havoc in society.

2. Who can become a ghost?

People who have died with unfulfilled desires, personality defects, negative impressions in the mind, high ego, who have harmed others and/or have the basic nature of harming others. Most importantly people who have not done spiritual practice according to the basic principles of Spirituality while alive are likely to become ghosts in their afterlife.

3. What is the meaning of being affected by ghosts’?

Being affected by ghosts (demons, devils, spirits, etc.) is when the physical, mental, intellectual or spiritual functioning of a person or any combination thereof is affected or altered by the ghosts entirely through the use of ghosts’ black energy without direct intervention by the ghosts. Since there is no direct intervention by the ghosts, there is no controlling of the mind and intellect of the affected person.

However the ghost affects

Pondering the existence of ghosts, demons and angels – Part 4

Do ghosts, demons and angels really exist? Well, that depends on ones personal beliefs on each subject.

Starting with ghosts: Do I personally believe they exist? Yes. I’ll explain. A ghost is a spirit which is earthbound for one reason or another. Maybe they have “unfinished business” to tend to. Maybe they committed some heinous crime during life and they are being prevented from entering into the afterlife. Either way, or for whatever reason, they are here. There are people who have devoted their entire lives to finding and proving they exist. There have been strange occurrences caught on tape that are attributed to ghosts. Red marks being left on inhabitants of houses occupied by ghosts. Things on shelves moving and falling off seemingly with no help from anyone or anything that can be seen. Doors being slammed, windows breaking, strange “bumps” in the night. I have seen video of an apparent ghost crossing the street in front of a car. Is it a hoax? Could be, but it was enough to give me goose bumps. My daughter once had a “friend” that she would talk to in her bedroom when she was little. Not an imaginary friend, but a true friend with whom she held normal conversations. We could never see this friend or hear him, but he was there. Come to find out, he was a past occupant of our house who had died a few years earlier. This was confirmed with public records. Now, the only way my daughter would have known about this person was if he was there, talking to her and telling her these things. So, I do believe in ghosts.

Now for the other two entities in the article: demons and angels. These two are inherently linked and can’t be separated. In order to believe in one, you have to believe in the other. They are both based on and linked to religious beliefs, no matter what religion it is. Angels are good, demons are bad. Angels work for God, demons work for the devil. One balances out the other. You have to have evil to balance out the good. Demons could exist in many forms, from spirits roaming the earth to cause death and destruction, to one which inhabits a person and manifests in different ways. Churches hold exorcisms to remove these demons from people, as was evident in The Exorcism of Emily Rose the ever endearing The Exorcist. If you have a religious belief, then you have been educated on demons and angels. If you don’t have a religious belief, you have probably heard about them, whether or not you believe in them.

This subject can go on forever, but each person must decide for themselves, do I believe or not? In my case, I do.

Believing in ghosts – Part 3

Believing in ghosts,

They say you can’t believe in something that you can’t see,

but then you can feel something that you can’t see. Believing

in ghosts is to each their own. We all have our own experiences

with ghosts, with the paranormal. Where we think we feel them

when a cold gust of wind comes around us, or we feel something,

a presence that is there. For ghosts are restless spirits,

they aren’t settled, they are still trying to find themselves,

trying to find out if their gone or still want to hang around.

Believing in ghosts is something that we see in our minds,

that we feel there is another existance. We see an image, a

shadow, and feel that it is a ghost around us. When we are faced

with a ghost we are more scared of them, then they are of us. The

ghosts are more curious about humans on earth, they want to know

more about us. We get scared and chase them away, like Casper

the ghost always coming around, snooping around. There are so

many ghosts stories, you don’t know if it is real or fiction.

Then ghosts are not fiction they are just spirits that want

to hang around. They want to let you know that they are there,

but there are friendly ones and not so friendly ones. Where if

you believe in ghosts then you have an open mind, an active

imagination. Ghosts are all around us we just don’t see them

at times, we don’t open our imaginations up to them as much as

we should. If we opened our minds up more then we’d be able to

see them in our mind’s eye.

When believing in ghosts we are believing that there is an

afterlife, another world, another form that surrounds us. We’ve

only got to believe, to open our eyes, to open our minds, to see

that the ghosts don’t want to be mean, but want to be there to

show you that they still do exists. They want to be friendly

like Casper and show you that they aren’t in the least bit afraid.

For when we believe we are then able to show that we do have another

side of us.

Believing in ghosts – Part 5

There are very few ways to stir up a conversation then to raise the question of whether one should believe in ghosts or not. It never ceases to amuse me that although it is a concept that aligns with the major religions of Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Hindu and Buddhism, even practioners are unsure of the answer. Hopefully I will be able to presuade the reader to understand more about the phenomena and why they either believe or don’t believe in ghosts.

First, the premise for the very existance of ghosts is based on the concept of an afterlife. The idea being the soul once separated from the body is a free-roaming entity that has the ability to interact with the living for a variety of purposes ranging from finding ones killer to locating a valuable item to be passed on to a survivor. This is often stated as a need to “find closure” or “complete their earthly mission”. It is easy to see if there truly is no afterlife, we should seen no ghosts…but they’re seen.

Now the exception to this conclusion are a subset of folks who believe that ghosts aren’t functioning beings but more like a type of “recording”. But assuming these conditions have equal probability of occurring any where in the world, one would think that filming them or encountering them on a regular basis for recording purposes would be simple but it’s not. Just like the Loch Ness monster, these ghosts who follow routines seem to disappear once the cameras and microphones show up, which tosses out the idea of ghosts being a sort of 3-d recording.

So, what kinds of ghosts are there? They seem to fall into several classes. The first type are those ghosts that are either audible or visual only or perhaps both. Any attempt to interact with them is futile (hence the explanation of the 3d recordings) but it could be just like a malfunctioning phone, you can see and hear them but they can’t see or hear you.

The second type appear to have the ability for limited interactions with the living and one can hear them respond either audibly or see them respond visually. There are a number of ghost stories where the person running into the ghost gets told or sees the reason for their continuence to haunt a particular location.

The third kind has the ability to move things or people. Phenomena such as moving doors or lights turning on and off or feeling a hand on your shoulder, etc are commonly reported when encountering these spirits. Unlike the first type of ghost, there doesn’t

How some of us are able to see ghosts – Part 2

The word ghost conjures up pictures of Casper and his crowd as hauntings and poltergeist activities. It is merely to describe the unseen.

Ghosts are what some also refer to as spirits. Not all spirit entities are interested in the ghost-like activities of disruption that goes along with this description of spirit.

After all, human beings have an afterlife beyond this gross material vibration of existence. Everyone passes into a spirit realm where our spirit, which is with us in earth life, moves to continue its existence with all its lessons and memories in tact. Ghosts, then, would just be your own loved ones who have passed beyond a material existence.

In earth life there are many who can communicate with and some see the spirit of the passed entities. This is called mediumship and is developed on the psychic aspects of our sensitivities. Everyone is capable of this sensitivity. It is just that most of us are so busy in our material pursuits we ignore the energies of spirit all around us in earth life.

Those that train themselves are called psychics or mediums. They regularly and with some training can and do contact your loved ones and form a demonstration using these abilities. Many people go to a medium for comfort and solace in their loss of a loved one or family member.

Perhaps the training and understanding of spirit existence is what opens some to spirit contact and blocks others. After a loved one passes, we are anxious to hear from them again and expect we should be able to do so, with ease of effort without any prior knowledge or training.

Some are blessed with an after death communication. This subject is even under discussion and study in many quarters. (See Hello from Heaven by Bill & Judith Guggenheim for the study of many of these experiences).

Understanding the afterlife and how we progress as a spirit into our eternity helps us to see our progress in spirituality. To be spiritual, we must be open to and learn about our spirit as well as our material body and mind.

Is communication possible? How do they communicate? Who can hear this communication? These are valid questions when we have lost a loved one. In the meantime we give little consideration to subjects such as the afterlife. So expectations of immediate knowledge and understanding is not a practical approach to spirit existence.
