Proving the existence of spirits

If you believe in the Bible then you have to believe in spirits on some level. The writers of the New Testament assume that it’s readers understood that a spirit world existed and the human beings interact with said world. Ninety percent of Jesus’ ministry on earth revolves around spirits of some form, angelic or demonic. Jesus actually empowered His disciples with authority over certain spirits. The Bible presents a perspective that people can be influenced and even possessed by spiritual forces called demons. Exorcism, also known as “deliverance ministry,” helps people who are afflicted by spiritual forces. Many people in the Bible were harassed by spirits that would even cause them to attempt to kill themselves. These spirits hold no regard to age, gender or religious affiliation. They manifested their presence through people on street corners, in prostitutes homes and even in the Temple!

Don’t believe everything you hear about these spirits. Spirits are a separate creation, they are not “dead people” with unfinished business. The word “demon” is a lump sum term which includes various categories and levels of spiritual power. Some demons are fallen angels; others are separate creations distinct from angels. Many people believe that there was another race of disembodied human-like creatures created before humankind.

Proving the existence of these spirits is hard because they exist on a different field of view than humans are naturally accustomed to viewing. I think it is harder to prove that they do not exist.

Creative inspiration: Where do our ideas come from?

The Exorcism

Ideas are what shape humanity and is the first building block that creates the structure of our civilization. Even a house, a garden, or an airplane started out as a vision in an individual’s head. These ideas sometimes come in sudden flashes of inspiration out of nowhere, and sometimes they are the product of a long struggle to find an answer to an undying question. However it may come to rest on a person’s mind, or whatever the degree of the complexity of the idea itself, one thing is certain: creativity does not necessarily follow a formula. There is no chemistry or alchemy involved in the creation of ideas. 1+1 does not always come out as 2 when it comes to the terrain of the human imagination. Take the genre magic realism in literature for example. The genre that had its roots in South American literature, and a prime example of the genre was the monumental ‘One Hundred Years Of Solitude’ by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Where did he come up with the surreal concepts that is the foundation of his masterpiece? Environment could definitely have been a major factor. In fact, we see this time and time again with artists, writers, and poets. Artists and poets take little fragments of the culture and the that they were raised in and use that as a primary color to paint their canvas. Experience could also be another factor in the creative process. We can only honestly speak about topics which we have knowledge of, and have experienced first-hand. But that’s the slick thing about creativity, a man who has never been to the other side of the world can create a novel about that place just based on the little information he has learned about it. Another contributor to the creative process could be as simple as our five senses; something we take for granted, or never really think deeply about. Have you ever seen a photograph such as the famous ‘Tank Man’ and feel a burning flame grow inside your chest? Next thing you know, you’ve got an idea for an Orwellian-style novel; or how about listening to the rain drops hitting a tin roof and suddenly you find yourself hearing and following the rhythm-there goes your snare rhythm for that song you’ve been working on. Even hearing sirens echoing in the night might conjure up images in your head of your city as an urban-jungle where drug overdoses and police chases are the norm; a Gotham City in need of a superhero. There is so much information from all around us that is being fed to our brain that is swallowed and

Finding the artist in all of us

Imagine how different things would be if everyone actively pursued a creative outlet. Think of the lives that would be transformed. Think of the stories that would be told. The truth would exist in everyone. We would know each other for who we really are. Beauty would be measured in the stroke of a brush or pen not in breast size or facial features. Movie cameras would capture textures of life never before imagined. Whole new facets of creative life would be open to us all. The doctor who writes a short story about a blade of grass between patients. The businessman who films his desk between meetings, the Young and old mirrors held up to light and reflected off of one another inner selves. How we would respect each other. You could buy a pack of cigarettes and discuss oil painting with the middle-aged woman behind the counter. The snotty college students who think that there lives are worth more than the lives the men and women who clean their bathrooms would be forced to confront these people as equals, as fellow artists in search of beauty and truth. Self-richness and conformity would become obsolete. Fear and hatred could be dealt with on stage and screen. Everyone would have a voice. No one would remain faceless. No one would try to get on television simply to be noticed. They would be there to say something. All of our lives would be enriched. The world would be less violent by the very nature of art. Art as weapon, art as exorcism, art as a seed for love, art as difference, art as understanding, art as individual as every human being. Fame and celebrity would no longer exist in its current state. We would not have to emulate and worship the talents of others. We would embrace their talent with the knowledge that we have been inspired to push our own art further. Billions of typewriters, brushes, cameras, blowtorches, tap shoes, snapping out truth and bringing fulfillment to all with each passing second. The thing that hurts most is that all of this is possible. It could all begin today but we are too tired, too lazy, too full, too rich, too attached to the things which tether us to our overworked and stagnant world. Say it, Paint it…. Do something. It’s not instant. It hurts to look inside. It takes a piece of you with it. It consumes you. Let it happen. I forgot all of this but hear I am a voice again, in the void.

TV show reviews: Full House

Excuse me…could I have another shot of insulin please?

I made myself watch one show of ‘Full House’ one Sunday afternoon. I never watched it when it was originally on television. What is so sad is that I had to FORCE myself to watch this show from Hades.

First of all, did any of those people ever take an acting lesson? Did they know they were supposed to act? Or were they all high as I wish I had been watching it. And who talks like that? I have never met anyone who talks like that. Who the heck wrote this show? Were they from earth?

The ending came and I was so overloaded with sugar, spice and morality, I ran to the bathroom to purge.

This show was a hit? But I think the scariest question is, who actually watched this show to make it a hit? Whoever you are, you need an exorcism, quick!

How some of us are able to see ghosts – Part 5

While I do not pretend to know how some people can see ghosts, I do know that it does happen to some people. I know because my second daughter can see and has been able to see spirits since very young which explains away some of her odd and sometimes dangerous behaviour.

Asia is a place of superstition and all the races living here in Malaysia have their dark arts. The Chinese are the most superstitious of all and believe in spirits which can haunt your house. When this happens they will call in a sifu to cleanse the house. They believe that a person can be processed by spirits and when this happens they will go to the temple and perform an exorcism. My daughter has gone many times. I have followed her to the temple where I witnessed a boy who acted like a monkey. He sat like a monkey and scratched himself like a monkey and once the exorcism was over he seemed like a normal boy, he was only ten years old. When my daughter went they said she had been processed by a young man who was in love with her. During the exorcism they rubbed an egg over her and when it was broken open there appeared on the plate, a face.

I first became aware that something was not right when her father was in the hospital. Hospitals are full of spirits who do not yet realize they are dead so anyone who is susceptible has the danger of one following them home. She went once to see her father, and during the three weeks he was there she refused to go again. When her father died she seemed ok until after his burial, she suddenly went into a vegetative state. I a non believer thought she was just looking for attention, after all she is the middle child of five children, but days turned into weeks and she could not do anything for herself, just lay there and stare into space. She had to be bathed, fed and led to the toilet and she could barely walk. We eventually brought in a Chinese exorcist who helped but it was a slow process. My mother and sisters came over during this time and they could not understand what was wrong with her. As for my daughter, she cannot remember her aunts and grandmother being here.

There have been many more situations where she has been pocessed, and there have been many times I have been called to the school to collect her. She has come home wearing the ugliest pair of shoes, which I know she would never wear, and insist on wearing them day after day until I threw them out. The worst experience was when she tried to throw herself off the third floor

Experiences with ghosts

when dealing with the paranormal, usually a bible is carried. Or at least thats what people believe and do. Usually an exorcism is needed for a hunting. If an exorcism isn’t done then if you move from a haunted house, the ghost will follow you to other places.

When people think of the word exorcism, they think of possession of the human body by a demonic spirit(poltergeist). Thats an exorcist. The exorcist is the haunter. An exorcism must first be allowed by a priest who is a rank higher than the one who gives it.

What I would do If I heard noises is carry a bible and a handgun. The bible for a ghost, and the handgun to scare, but not shoot the burglar. I’ve personally seen a ghost. several times. If you see one or hear one, you might want to get some sage and find a bible. Say a certain prayer while the sage is lighted and drop the ashes around the house, then the ghosts will go away. It works. Trust me I’ve tried it.

If this method doesn’t work however, find a pastor or a priest and have them come to your house and pray. And if that doesn’t work, you will need to have a priest perform an exorcist. That will work no matter what happens. If you are not getting haunted, and you just want to take pictures of ghosts, just go somewhere and bring your camera.

Ghosts can hear you and understand you. So if you are taking pictures, inform the ghost that you are taking pictures of him so he or she doesn’ get mad. If you inform the ghost, it wont get mad and often times they will let you take pictures of them. when you are done, tell the ghost thankyou and tell them you are done. Believing in ghosts – Part 30

Have you ever seen ‘light beings?’ You may not believe in ghosts, but I can tell you that light beings certainly do exist. I have photographed them in controlled situations with my digital camera.

There are pseudo-orbs that show up in digital camera mode when you photograph in extreme humidity or rain. And, then, there are orbs and lights that show up when it is absolutely clear, low humidity and average temperature.

From my experience, I’ve witnessed orbs, or light beings, in different colors. Research has told me the meanings of color in light beings, however, I have not sensed the same color meanings as I’ve read. For instance, I have witnessed red orbs, red ectoplasm and red lights. The red orbs and lights had a different feel than the red ectoplasm. The red ecto was frightening, and presented a message that was far and above the quiet observation of a red light being or orb.

Now, whether you want to refer to these light beings as ghosts, as in dead people returning to haunt someone, is up to you. I, for one, do not accept dead person hauntings, or ghosts, per se.

This is not to say that the essence of a tragedy will not remain in a place, for it will until it is shown a way out by a kindly guide. Entities exist and earth is host to both positive and negative entities. This is their playground, despite what the religious leaders and church doctrine have to say about them.

The Catholic Church has taught exorcism to its priests through the ages to remove negative entities from the bodies of those so seriously afflicted.

Ever heard of a person being taken by spirit at a church service and speaking in tongues? These religious participants have opened themselves up to native entities who congregate in these churches awaiting a willing soul that will allow them access. The nonsense they utter through their host is gibberish to us, but has meaning to them and those they are trying to reach. Ghosts, you ask? Maybe.

The paranormal exists, whether we believe in it or not. There is proof everywhere, even in the churches we hold so dearly to our hearts. But, you know? It’s a lot easier to swallow to simply say flat out … I DON’T BELIEVE IN GHOSTS and let it rest at that, right?

Discerning the ghosts in hiding’ versus manifested ghosts in people

We sit at the edge of our seats when watching a movie like The Exorcism of Emily Rose’. Such violent and obvious ghost manifestations are very visible and show a ghost fully manifested. But is there such a thing as a ghost in hiding’ (unmanifest)? This article discusses the two forms of ghost possession, the manifest and unmanifest possession.

Ghosts (demons, devils, negative energies, etc.) though neither visible to the gross eye, nor perceived by the other sense organs, mind and intellect affect all of mankind. The manifestations of distress due to ghosts or negative energies are varied, and can be from a person displaying uncharacteristic behaviour to erratic violent behaviour. Ailments and disorders such as addictions, various physical and psychological illnesses, family problems, business problems etc. can be caused due to possession or manifestation of ghosts.

The meaning of a ghost being manifest’ versus being unmanifest’.

A person can be fully possessed by a ghost (demon, devil, negative energy, etc.) and yet both the person and people around him could be completely unaware about it. This is because of the fact that the possessing ghost does not reveal its presence as it knows that once it reveals itself, the person possessed and those around him will seek help and force the ghost out.

In simple words when we say that the particular ghost that has possessed a particular person is unmanifest we mean the ghost has not revealed its presence yet.

And when we say that the particular ghost that has possessed a particular person is manifest we mean that it has revealed itself and its consciousness is to the fore.

When do ghosts manifest themselves?

As a general rule a ghost never likes to manifest unless it is of its own accord. Ghosts manifest on their own accord when:

They are in a comfortable environment which is entrenched in raja-tama. Raja-tama situations include places where people indulge in plotting against society in any form, alcohol, drugs, cigarette smoking, promiscuous sexual behaviour, dimly lit places, loud music etc. In such venues we see people behaving quite different from their normal behaviour, it is actually the ghost manifesting either partially or fully.

A ghost manifests many a time to intimidate, scare or disrupt family life by causing fights etc. Higher level ghosts also manifest when they want to create wider scale destruction

Short stories: Pain from love

“The Cat only grinned when it saw Alice. It looked good natured, thought Alice: still it had very long claws and a great many teeth…

“Cheshire-Puss…Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”

“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.

Lewis Carrol: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

Down the Rabbit Hole

The whisper of silk, my black silk. A whisper that screams as too many hands touch me. The guilt that only Jack Daniel’s can tame.

I am the drunken slut! My love and his friends, all clients. I’m drunk, you’re drunk, we are all drunk here. We’re all full of Cheshire grins.

Into the looking-glass! What do I see there but my shame? A thousand leering toms who never say what they mean, stare up at me from the fragments. Am I to blame for my sins; I who but obey?

Why is this tale so twisted? My knights’ armor seem so dull. Why do they masturbate as the monster thrusts in again and again? They all mock my tears. When will I awake from these Cheshire grins?

- poem by Vee Landherr

There is a place that I still walk through in my mind. Even without the haze of alcohol, this scene seems so surrealistic somehow. What is this place that haunts my poetry and my dreams, like some disquieted spirit needing exorcism? It is a place called guilt; a place I once called home. We can go there now, if you’d like.

Fall with me down the rabbit hole of memory. Watch the first step, it’s a long one. Here, feel my heart! See how it races? Yet to me it is clenched in time. Clenched like my throat.

Ah, we have arrived. See this step? My friend, Will* once skinned himself up pretty bad one night when he was drunk. If a person looked real close, a trace of his blood could be found.

Sorry about the screen door, be gentle with it. My cat, Lucifer, lived up to his name and tore it to shreds.

Anyway, here we are in the dinning room. Since my husband and I can’t afford a table, I don’t know why I call it that. Force of habit, I suppose. But, this is the perfect place for this little daybed. I’m proud that it’s the first thing a person sees when entering the house. I love it because my daddy made it for me when I was just a little girl. I remember falling in love with its cute little drawers and plaid upholstery the moment I laid eyes on it. I especially loved the scrollwork hearts. My daddy carved those hearts with his own two hands. This little couch is what I slept on until I was

Understanding the appeal of Dungeons & Dragons

Living in the Bible belt, I have encountered a great deal of protest against fantasy novels (which have demons and devils and thus welcome the devil), online games (which, in addition to welcoming the devil, are addictive and can draw attention away from incessant Bible study), and, of course, the Ultimate Evil, Dungeons & Dragons. For those growing up in a house where long hair is cause for an exorcism, Dungeons & Dragons seems to be the perfect way to rebel.

“I can’t go to church, Mom. I’m Chaotic Evil. It would screw up my alignment, and I’d have to kill a yak to balance it all out.”

Aside from the fact that Dungeons & Dragons can be used to give over-zealous Christians heart palpitations, it’s fun. Those who enjoy being creative, story telling, acting, and fantasy would love Dungeons & Dragons. Creating characters with individual personalities and life stories, then acting the part of that character, is what D&D is all about. Well, that and the story teller, or “Dungeon Master,” as these sadistic types like being called, constantly trying to kill your character.

I recommend Dungeons & Dragons to all geeks like me, who if not for D & D, would never have social interaction. It’s better by far to be a geek in a group than a geek whose only friends are twelve year old boys looking for a girlfriend, or sixty year old men in their underwear pretending to be female so that they can cyber with twelve year old boys.
