Living in a haunted house – Part 28

When I tell people that I have a ghost in my house, most of them think I am nuts. I know he is here, I can feel him almost every day. Yes, I will say “He” because the presence I feel is that of a male. I am not sure who he is or why he is here, but never have I felt threatened by him.

It started about six years ago when I moved in with my Sister after dealing with a horrible illness that is linked to genetics. I have to say depression took me over quickly and I remember sitting here crying my eyes out because I was just that sad. I was the only one in the house at the time and I can remember feeling suddenly extremely warm. It felt like someone was hugging me. The tears stopped and I sat here wondering what had just happened. As whatever it was let me go, I then felt a sudden cool breeze pass by me. I am no stranger to the paranormal and I passed it off as a Angel watching over me.

Since that day, strange and some times funny things happen around the house I have no explanation for. Items not where my Sister and I leave them, only to find them in strange places several days later. We do laugh about it for the most part. She and I have both been witnesses to seeing a form of a human shape pass by the family room entrance numerous times. I think the scariest thing that has happened is the night I was home alone. I heard a bunch of racket going on in the kitchen. Even my dogs, who are very protective of me refused to go down the hallway to investigate what was going on. They both high tailed it to where I was sitting and cowardly sat there whimpering. I had to show them that nothing was there so I got up and dragged both dogs with me. When I got to the kitchen what I saw not only awed me, but left me feeling like….Holy crap! Every single cabinet door in the kitchen was open. Now since I was home alone, I knew I didn’t do that because I had been in the kitchen about an hour before this took place. Showing whoever or whatever was in my house that they did not scare me I went directly to our bar in the dining room and placed a shot glass on top of the bar. I then proceeded to tell them to “help themselves”. During this time my two huge protectors left and ran back into the family room, where they hid behind reclining chairs. It was quiet for the rest of the evening and I was relieved.

Who ever it is that likes my house so much, I have to say I don’t mind him. He is actually a comfort to me on nights when I am home alone. He doesn’t bother me and when he is around I always feel a peaceful atmosphere. He is very welcomed to stay as long as he wants, just as long as he behaves himself.

Believing in ghosts – Part 12

Ghost- Noun. The soul of a dead person, a disembodied spirit imagined, usually as a vague, shadowy or evanescent form, as wandering among or haunting living persons.

As defined by Webster’s Dictionary.

People don’t really believe in ghost until they see one or experience something themselves. Ghost is all around us. They are souls that have not yet gone home. Their spirit lingers in our world and some of them don’t even know that they are dead.

For some people it’s hard to believe that there are ghost among us. But I personally can tell you that are ghosts are here. I am a long time believer and have even seen some. I am sensitive, that means that I can sense things just by looking at a picture or walking in to a room. But this does not mean that I am psychic. They are not here to harm us. They are just here because they are watching over us.

If you have a ghost more likely this is a loved one that has passed and is just watching over you and making sure that you are doing ok. Or maybe it is a ghost was already in the house that you moved it to. People have a fear of the unknown. But don’t be afraid, ghost, spirits can’t hurt you. They can scare you and maybe even make you jump, but that’s pretty much it.

Honestly, think about it. If people could hurt you don’t you think that those soldiers in Iraq that have lost their life’s, would go and look for Osama Bin Ladan where ever he might be and go and do something to him? I’m sure that if that was possible a lot of people would be hurt because of something bad that they have done.

If you are looking for some way to entertain your self and see some ghost, you can watch Ghost Hunters on Sci Fi channel. In my opinion this is an excellent show. They go about in a different way. They go to a potential hunted house and investigate. If you are the type of person that doesn’t believe in the paranormal I invited you to see this program, you will be surprise to see that they instead of proving that the house is hunted they will try to “debunk” things and see what the noise or the possible apparition may be.

They have caught some apparitions on camera and it is really amazing. This proves that there are spirits among us. You can also try to catch some of your own. You can use regular cameras and voice recorders. If you don’t get something the first time, try and try again, you will be surprise to what you may find.

I personally believe that if people where more opened minded we would be able to do and discover wonderful things of the supernatural and the paranormal.

HAUNTED HOUSE OR BAD FENG SHUI?

It is not uncommon in my profession as a Feng Shui Master to have people come up to me and say, ” I have a ghost in my house. How do I get rid of it?”

After talking a bit more in depth, I often discover that the person has come to the conclusion that the house must have a ghost because things have gone down the drain ever since having moved in. “I moved here from New York because I was offered this wonderful job and a week after moving in, I lost it,” one client told me and, “My husband and I moved in here and shortly after began having relationship problems until eventually we separated and later got a divorce” another said.

More often than not these kinds of scenarios are very clear examples of houses with bad Feng Shui. A beginner may not be able to discern the difference between bad Feng Shui and ghosts. Let me give you some examples:

1) If you move in to a new house and you seem to have a bad streak of luck (meaning not just one bad thing happens, but one bad thing keeps happening after the other), get some information about the previous owners, either directly or via real estate agents or the neighbors. If the house has had a history of bad luck chances are that the energy of the building (a.k.a. the Feng Shui) has had problems since it’s inception that ended up affecting the previous occupants adversely, just as it is now affecting you. More explicitly, if a house appears to have had bad luck on a financial level– job losses, bankruptcy, poor investments– chances are this house has a Feng Shui problem with the energy of finances. On the other hand, a house that has been witnessing broken relationships, health problems, or tragic and/or sudden deaths is definitely a house with problems on the Feng Shui of health and relationships. Some really adverse houses may suffer both. Using some proper Feng Shui corrections will give you the best results to correct these problems if you plan to stay.

2) Houses tend to record energies (like memories) from the previous owners, but not their life experience. This happens when you see a ghost in your house, but it doesn’t seem to notice you– it is just walking down the hallway or sitting by the window. This phenomenon, observed and defined as a “recorded effect” by ghosts experts in England several years ago, acknowledged the “energy imprint” of previous owners that is recorded by the house like a memory and played back randomly. So what you’re seeing is not actually a ghost, but a “playback” of some previous owner’s life and it doesn’t have much consequence on you and your life. To clear these pockets of energy a good, thorough physical cleaning-out of the space and possibly some changes in old finishings and furnishings (carpet, wood paneling, wall paints, furniture) can do wonders to erase the old house memories.

3) The truly haunted houses are those that have one live-in entity– or more– with whom more than one member of the family has interacted, perhaps several times. These entities are “stuck” and so “earth bounded” that their energy is perceived by a living person as a very intense emotional energy field. (For example, “blinding fear”– which many people experience in the presence of such ghosts– is actually not their own energy but part of the entity’s energy field.) In many cases the entity is able to move physical objects (for example, throwing books from a shelf across the room), and they sometimes do this maliciously, but most of the time they do it simply out of the desire to be noticed and to initiate some kind of communication with the living occupants. In some cases they can also produce voice-like sounds. Most of the time the communication is telepathic, meaning you’d hear the voice in your head and know is not your own voice but you do not know where it is coming from. In this kind of situation it is perfectly okay to address the entity as if it were a living person and communicate with them verbally out loud by saying, “This is my house, play by my rules or leave! Here are my rules…” And your interaction with them can then become quite interesting and amusing. There is no need to be scared, if you can manage not to be. Also, this is definitely a good time for “Ghostbusters” to be called in, or, more traditionally, Shamans and Priests who have been trained in helping the stuck entities disengaged from the earthly plane and move on and away from your place– or even eliminate any malicious entity who may be causing some real problems entirely.

Are you spooked yet?

I thought you might also like to know that the instances of real haunted house and house possession as stated in number three are really very limited. House memories playback in number two are far more popular and yet, only a small percentage of “bad energy houses” can be attributed to that. Bad Feng Shui houses in number one are, fortunately or unfortunately, a lot more common but also luckily, more fixable. You can do it yourself or ask the help of a qualified Feng Shui consultant to help you set the house straight and get rid of the “bad luck” energy. Let me know if I can be of any assistance.
