The truth is ... ]]> There allot of strange occurrences that cannot be so easily explained when it comes to things that go bump in the night. Ghosts, Specters, spirits, and many other names have been used to properly label a reappearance of the recently deceased, but is it possible that they exist and if so can we capture them on film? If we watch some of the local broadcasts we will find everything ranging from Ghost Hunters, Mystery Detectives, and Worlds Scariest Places, and many more that capitalize on the Ghost Phenomenon.

The truth is no-one really will give you a straight answer on this subject since the nature of the subject itself is riddled with conjecture. To believe they can be captured on film is to acknowledge the existence of the after world. I can only tell you that my own experiences have leaned me very far to the “Yes” category.

I won’t go into all the details but I will tell you that I have captured on standard 35mm film several things that even a photo specialist could not chalk up to a light anomaly. I was visiting Ireland and decided to tour some of the spooky locales and ended up on the doorstep of Charleville Castle in County Offaly. Armed with some disposable cameras and a 35mm I began shooting every thing that got within the scope of my lens. Out of a couple hundred shots I got mostly nice pictures of an old castle, but in at least twelve I captured orbs, objects and even two distinct faces that were not present when I took the shot. Creepy! One specific shot was taken in the staircase leading upstairs. I really meant to catch a shot of this beautiful statue that stood on a baluster but higher up in the corner i caught a child’s face hovering over the railing. No Children were present as the Castle was under heavy renovations. With a good software application I enhanced the photo which also revealed the child was not complete, barely a head and torso was visible, although the face was perfectly etched on the film.

I know everyone knows someone that heard from someone about a good ghost story, but can so many of them all be simply summed up as a long winded tale? You be the judge, and try visiting a local haunted site, and see what ghostly apparitions shows up on your film.

1. Respect the law. Get permission and don’t go at it alone. Don’t try to go on an expedition in a condemned building that is not going to be safe for you or your partner, it’s not worth the risk.

I know Nala Napaapuk, a man who is well regarded by his community. He is ... ]]> I believe that some people are able to see ghosts and spirits. Personally, I’ve never seen a ghost or even wish to. I believe that some people are more susceptible or gifted to seeing beyond the physical. Some people have greater intuition and among those who have intuition, some people trust their intuition more. Some people are great athletes. Some are great musicians. Some people can see ghosts, at least at given times.

Sighting

I know Nala Napaapuk, a man who is well regarded by his community. He is of sound judgment and is respected for his knowledge, wisdom, and skill. He is now an old man. He once told this story to a group. When he was a enterprising young man, he went was out hunting in winter. He had settled his dogs and build his igloo. It was now dusk but not too dark to work outside. Nala was harvesting peat-moss for sled runners. Eskimo dog sleds are traditionally coated with frozen peat, which in turn is coated in ice. This makes for a easier glide and therefore faster travel.

As Nala was chipping the peat, he looked up to his igloo and saw a figure coming his way. The figure was a man in a white coat, striding along quickly and towing a small sled. Nala watched in silence as the man kept coming his way. Apparently the man in the white coat was oblivious to being watched.

Nala, the peat harvester looked on. The person was odd, certainly no one Nala knew. Nala kept looking as the approaching man came closer still. Nala becoming increasingly nervous, shouted a greeting. The man in white stopped on his tracks. The two eyed each other. Nala got to his feet, keeping his eyes on the man in white. The two stood motionless and in silence for moments.

As Nala watched, the other man transformed himself into one of Nala’s dog. A white dog with some black patches. Nervously, Nala took a step back. He glancing quickly backward so as not to stumble. In that instant, the man transformed into dog was gone.

Nala astounded gather his things and went to his igloo. All his dogs were lying in the snow peacefully near the igloo. Even the white dog with black patches was asleep. The dogs did not even stir from their sleep as Nala went to his igloo. Dogs are notorious for sensing things out of the ordinary, even spiritual things.

The young man who picked up a stone

I was out on a big hunting party one summer. We were camping on a small island, which has inhabited by Inuit for many generations. There are graves all over the ridges and hills on this island.

One can walk around the island easily during the day and see some sights. A young man was walking along a ridge alone, in a bright beautiful day. The young man stopped at a pile of rocks, which was not even a grave site. He picked up a stone from the ground. As he picked up a stone, he heard someone say “he is taking a stone.”

The young man looked toward the original of the voice. No one could be seen. He was on a ridge on the open tundra. He was sure the speaker was a ghost.

Some people are able to see ghosts or being of the paranormal. Some just hear the voices of the ghosts.

There are also many real accounts of demonic possession. The Exorcism of Emily Rose is one such account. She couldn't possibly have faked everything and then have been killed by the ... ]]> I firmly believe in the existence of fantasy creatures. I have a book about faeries, and while some of the pictures could have easily been faked, some just look too real. The Bible mentions unicorns, and as there are actual people who practice witchcraft and the occult. I can’t see why some people deny the existence of witches and wizards, when the people who practice black magic will come right out and say it.

There are also many real accounts of demonic possession. The Exorcism of Emily Rose is one such account. She couldn’t possibly have faked everything and then have been killed by the preacher, it would make less sense than actually believing that a demon inhabited her body. He could have been a religious freak, but there are also less famous accounts of demons possessing people and making them do unspeakable things.

Angels also must existence as God’s divine guardians of humanity. I received a perpetual angel calender telling me that, if you stand in a quiet place, and ask your guardian angel to name themselves, they will. You should try it sometimes, they have the most odd names like Kevin and Rick. Kevin was my angel’s name. I thought that was odd, since angels have names like Micheal, Gabriel, and Lucifer. Though sometimes, it seems like they’re asleep I believe we won’t know how much our angels do for us until we meet them.

Entities such as ghosts and spirits have made their presence in this world pretty obvious. The constant haunting, electric appliances just turning on or off, windows or doors making noise for no reason whatsoever. It seems like some may be harmless, but others, we should exorcise without waiting.

Belief or disbelief rests with you. If you are a logical person, who needs an explanation for everything, than you may not believe in these things without actually experiencing them. If you have an open mind, well, you may just see what happens. Thing what you will of me, but I firmly believe there is more than one world in the land of the living.
