Novel excerpts: Supernatural – Part 13

The Sorceror gazed at the portal he created. Finally! He had conjured up something others would not dare to do. This would make him powerful! So powerful that others would have no choice but to bow down to him. He had used a forbidden, ancient magic to open this portal. It was forbidden for a purpose, and it had been many years since someone would dare do such a thing as to use it again.

The portal would lead into another realm. A realm of untold horrors that if unleashed back into this land, would be a cause of great suffering! Unimaginable terror.

Turun, a young son of a noble, and Jiana, a spirit-speaker, hurried hastily to try to catch up to the Sorceror. They rode through the burning desert but as they came closer to the mountain, they saw that the portal was already prepared. They new that now it was too late for them to stop the Sorceror. Whatever he was about to do, it would be done. Whatever horrors would be unleashed, would surely be unleashed. T

They were too late, they had failed. And now doom and disaster awaited.

The Sorceror leapt into the portal, and laughed. A laugh echoed all over the desert as the portal shrinked to a close.

Just then, Jiana, the spirit-speaker, sensed a spirit trying to communicate with her.

“Jiana… There may be hope still… But you must…”

And then she could not hear anymore…

The scariest ghost stories of all time – Part 2

It all started on the on the 31st of October 1996,the most frightening paranormal experience i have had to date. Myself, my cousin, and her boyfriend were very bored listening to music in her bedroom and listening to the children knock on doors for trick or treat. I put it to them that we should have some fun and go on a ghost hunt for a laugh. After some persuasion they agreed.

We decided to go towards the local country park called the Beacon Point just outside Skelmersdale,Lancashire.A place reputed to have been built on a graveyard and where bodies are said to still be in the graves despite the building on the top of them.Skelmersdale is also reputed to have been a meeting place for witches in the practices of evil.

However when we got close to the Beacon Point the darkness enclosed us so we decided to turn around and make our way back via a place called Elmers Green.On this route was a path known as the black path.We had not long stepped on the path when Rachael’s boyfriend shouted,”what’s that?”.He appeared in shock but we laughed thinking he was trying to scare us.”No” he said,”there was a light going across the path!”.We could not see it so we didn’t take any more notice.”Fine”, he said clearly shaken up by what he had seen.

Halfway down the path i looked to my left and in the woodland area i saw what looked like a torch.I was frightened but i thought it was someone trying to scare us because it was Halloween.Then it flew through the air at breakneck speed, in and out of the trees.The silence in the woods showed there was no-one else in the area. Rachael and David ran but i was wearing a skirt,which restricted me somewhat.

While running i looked back a couple of times to see how far away from it i was, and witnessed this light bobbing up and down when we got to the end the light went out and there was no body behind it.All three of us were looking in disbelief and quietly walked home. We got home and tried to make sense of what happened but we always come back to the same conclusion that there was no logical explaination behind it.Skelmersdale has often been called a paranormal hotspot in Lancashire which leaves me wondering… has anyone else from that area had the experience on the dark,black path.
