The True Story of the Exorcist

This is the True Story of the Real Exorcism that “The Exorcist” was Based On

This is a story about the real exorcist experience. We all know about the movie, “The Exorcist” starring then child star Linda Blair. Some people don’t know that the movie was based on the true experience that happened to a 13 year old boy named Robbie. Robbie and his family lived in Maryland. One of the family members that Robbie was very close to and the one that had a huge impact on him was his aunt. Robbie enjoyed board games and one game that his aunt introduced him too was the Ouija Board. Everyone knows when it comes to Ouija Boards, the one main rule is not to play alone. Robbie on the other hand enjoyed playing things alone and did dabble with the spirit game when he was alone also.

Around Jan 15th 1949, strange things started happening in the house. The family noticed alot of different noises, such as scratches and dripping. They tried desperately to find the cause of the noises but could not find anything. Eleven days after the strange noises started, Robbie’s favorite aunt died suddenly. Robbie continued using the Ouija Board, but now it was mostly to contact his aunt. When the aunt died the scratching noises then stopped. It was at this time that new noises started but in Robbie’s room.

The bed would shake, table’s would move across the room. Vases would fly through the air. Even Robbie’s desk at school would move without explanation. Of course his parents took Robbie to see a doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist, psychic and a minister. The first three found nothing. Only one comment was left and that was that Robbie seemed to be normal.

The family called in a Lutheran minister, Rev. Schulze. Schulze observed everything that was happening in Robbie’s home and he also had Robbie come to his own home and studied him there. Schulze prayed with the family and asked the church to pray for the boy, nothing he did or said could help Robbie. The things that were happening around the boy were getting worse, and the boy could no longer sleep. If he was on the bed, the bed would shake, on a chair…the chair would tip, if he was on the floor…he would be elevated and float under the bed and bounce up and down against the springs. When all these things would happen, Robbie seemed to be in a trance.

About a month and a half later, the scratches started to appear on Robbie. Once the scratches started appearing, Schulze decided it was time

Living in a haunted house – Part 26

When I first moved into our old family home, I was about four years old. I can still vividly remember the strange occurrences that had happened within the walls of that house. There were hundreds of strange things that had happened.

Apparently, the previous owner of the house had been a chronic alcoholic, who lived with his wife and twenty year old daughter. After walking home from the pub one night, he had stepped out in front of a car and was severely injured. A few weeks upon returning home from the hospital, he had suffered a stroke and had died in the bedroom my sister and I had shared when we were younger.

Many times, and this is no word of a lie, the entire household had been woken up in the middle of the night to cupboards in the kitchen opening and slamming shut. Lights would go on by themselves, the refrigerator door would constantly be open in the morning, after dad had changed the seals on it, and there would be someone pacing endlessly up and down the hallway that adjoined the two bedrooms in the house.

Quite often, my sister and I would wake up to hear someone creeping up to our beds. It kind of sounded like someone who could not walk properly, so they would ’shuffle’ along the carpet. Fan and radios in our room would go on and off most nights and sometimes, we would feel someone blowing on our faces or touching our cheeks and foreheads lightly. Most of the time, my sister and I would refuse to sleep in that particular room.

One night, My sister had gone for a sleep over at a friends house. This happened a few years after we had moved in. I was settling down to go to sleep and just before I was about to drift off, I heard someone standing next to my bed, breathing harshly. I could feel their breath on my face, and I was too scared to open my eyes in-case I saw something scary. After a while, that familiar ’shuffling’ sound returned and I heard someone sit down on my sisters bed. I remember screaming my absolute lungs out and refused to sleep in that room without my sister.

The hunting’s continued for about ten years, then suddenly, it stopped. Every now and then, a light would go on, or something in the house would go missing, but that’s about it. Just before we moved out, a few scary things happened. I would be interested in talking to the new tenants of the house now and asking them if they have experienced anything strange. I think I’ll bet my word on it that they have.

Pondering the existence of ghosts, demons and angels – Part 31

I have never seen a ghost but I have heard about them all my life. I do believe in the supernatural,or that something exists outside the natural realms of our society.

Here’s my story.

My first husband died after 9 years of marriage. He was a very possessive person, with an overbearing personality. I remained in our home and I remarried the following year after his death, and almost immediately after my marriage strange things began to happen. The car wouldn’t start, for no apparent reason. The truck would break down. The windows in the house wouldn’t open or once opened wouldn’t close. Things would come up missing, only to be found years later in the most ridiculous places.

My family believed it was my dead husband haunting the place because he resented my new husband living in his home. I didn’t believe it, but I didn’t discount it either.

Two years later my new husband and I built a new house on the same property. We had dug a well and it was completely enclosed in a shed with no opening. The only way in was to remove the front wall. We came home from work one night and my step-daughter told us we had no water. My husband went out and opened up the shed, and the water had been completely shut off to the house. We never found out how the water was shut off, since there was no access th the pump.

Something was going on. We just never found out what it was.

Experiences with ghosts – Part 7

I’m part of a ghost hunting team In Colorado. I used to be anyway. Welcome to what I hope will be a series of cautionary tales about the paranormal.

We began documenting haunted locations in the area in August of 2006. Since then strange things have happened to everyone in the group, and none of us will ever be the same. Our first official Ghost Hunt was late August, 2006…

About 12:30, we arrived at a Denver cemetery armed with digital voice recorders, thermal imaging, infrared thermometers, and cameras of course. Since we were a group of 7, We were relatively safe, from the living anyway.

We split up, Jed, my husband, and I along with Marilyn, one of our clairvoyants, went one way while everyone else went the other.

The grounds were really peaceful. You could pitch a tent and camp there it was so comfortable! The outside temp was about 42, but not low enough to see our breath. We came into a circle of huge elaborate crypts. Thats where we felt our first Psychic Chills. A Psychic chill has nothing to do with the temperature, its like a numb tingle all over your body from the feet to the crown of your head. As the chill stole over us, I said aloud “hello, we are here to take pictures and listen, not disturb you.” I invited the energies to show up for pictures, and so they did…

The chill would come and go. When it started up again, we’d take a picture. We didn’t always get plasma orbs. Some were just dust, some were bugs, but not all.

Marilyn, our psychic, saw the first apparition. It was somewhat human shaped, and faintly glowing translucent through a mist. She and Anthony, our leader, went off in pursuit, as he had seen it too. While they were to the west of us, I took some candids of the rest of the team, standing to the east. All of us were present and accounted for, and I took the picture that for me, changed everything. There is a large blue orb, with a reflection on a polished headstone. below it, there is a glowing anomaly. As I zoomed in on it, I could clearly see what looks like a face…

Its easy enough to write off the fact that I’m “into” this stuff, that we see what we want to see. So being the professionals that we are, Jed and I went out a couple of days later, and took pictures of the area in question. There were no reflective areas to account for the glow. I was about 400 yards away, and there was no possibility that the intense light was a reflection.

After I took the picture with the “face”, we started out to go

Experiences with ghosts – Part 2

Do Ghosts really exist?

This is something I’ve always asked myself, and I’ve always been somewhat of a skeptic. I was always the type of person who had to see it to believe it, but something happened about 13 years ago that changed my mind. My father-in-law at the time had just passed away very unexpectedly from a massive stroke. My husband and I were left to take care of some land and several thousand head of cattle. The only problem was that we had no idea where he kept the keys that opened the gates to all the property he tended to.

After several days passed, we were beginning to get desperate on how to gain access to the property. I was in my car on the way into town, and I heard his voice inside my head. It was his voice; there was no doubt about it. He clearly stated, “Look under the passenger side seat of my truck.” I immediately had goose bumps, and turned around to where we had parked and locked his truck. I opened the passenger side door and underneath the seat sat a plastic box full of keys. I could not believe what I was seeing; it was the keys to open all of the gates.

Since then, I have remarried and I continue to search for evidence of ghosts. I am still somewhat of a skeptic, always thinking there is some other excuse of why I am seeing or hearing what I do, but when all other evidence is debunked, the only other thing it can be is paranormal.

My husband and I are a part of a paranormal investigation team, and we have seen a few strange things in our 5 years in the group. I have even been scratched by something unseen, my husband has been pushed and we have heard things that were not there. We even have strange things happening in our own home as well. I’ve seen things move on their own. We even have our very own ghost, who we’ve named Tim!

I do believe ghosts exist. I believe some of them do not realize they have passed, and are living their lives as if they were still alive. Some know they have passed, but have unfinished business, and can’t pass over until they complete it.

There are lots of ghost hunting shows on television now, and some of them I watch. But I do believe that some of the shows are staged to get more ratings.

“When you have eliminated all of which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.” As once said by Sherlock Holmes, this is the view I take on ghosts.

Whether you believe in ghosts or not it’s always a fascinating topic to read about. No, I don’t think ghosts are up in the attic dragging chains around and moaning, but I do believe our loved ones who have passed away come to visit us and just want to make sure we are okay.
