The belief in fairies and other supernatural beings – Part 19

The belief is the choice of that person. They choose whether they believe in this sort of thing or not.
You can walk up to a few people, and ask them this question, they may scoff and say ‘Of course not!’, but then you can walk up to a few other people and they may just smile and say ‘Of course!’
The truth is that no one, if not then not many people, know if these creatures exist or not. Someone may be as sure as ever that they exist, they may have had an encounter with one, they go off, tell someone the next day, and they are far from believed, they are most likely thought crazy.
But, a few things in a way are, and are proven, to have been based off something, therefor, they are basically real. For example, the plague that swept London, whether it had been rabies, or a different plague, the general idea for vampires came from this. Their skin was turned pale, their fangs grew, and other symptoms that I’ve seemed to forgotten.
Did the other creatures come from facts in history? Did some talented author just write about them in a book? Or did someone see one of these creatures and instead of telling someone about it, they wrote about it for generations to come to learn.
The belief in this area is entirely up to the person, I’ve been told repetitively that these creatures do not exist, none of them, and they never will. Sure, some of them I will never believe in, but others I’m not sure about. Sure, I’m not going to go grab the nearest butterfly net and go fairy hunting, but it’s my belief that some of these creatures exist, and my belief won’t be altered anytime soon.
